A Locust Grove man was indicted last week for pointing an air pellet gun at four people during a May altercation at the Taco Bell in Peachtree City.

Jermal Thomas, 17, of Kings Cove, Locust Grove, is charged with four felony counts of aggravated assualt in connection with the incident.

The incident occurred May 8 and Thomas was on a golf cart at the time, police said. The dispute involved people who had congregated on the outdoor patio area of the restaurant, police said.

The charges were filed in part because Thomas portrayed the air pellet gun to be a real handgun, police said.
