State officials have postponed a plan to close part of Ga. Highway 74 south Aug. 27-30.

The closing will be rescheduled for another weekend at a future date, according to the Georgia Department of Transportation.

When the closing occurs, motorists will be able to circumvent the closing by using Holly Grove, Robinson and Redwine roads.

The road closing will take place on a Friday evening and the road will be reopened the following early Monday morning. The section of the highway to be closed will be from Rockaway Road to Redwine Road, officials have said.
