0Sr. Elwyn Holt Jr. a 2006 graduate of Sandy Creek High School enlisted in the United States Navy in 2009. He was awarded the The Military Excellence Award by the Captain of the Great Lakes Naval Base in a private ceremony. He was honored as the most deserving graduating recruit out of over a thousand recruits, because of his superlative leadership performance and athletic ability. He led his squad (division 298) in numerous accomplishments and together they were awarded many flags of achievement. Holt received two commanding officer’s commemorative coins in recognition of his achievements during recruit training.
Ethan Allen has hired additional security for the visit. (and additional cleaning crews).
