Mrs. Margo Cruthird Smith, 51, of Fayetteville, GA, passed away on December 24, 2010 following a valiant battle with breast cancer.

Margo attended Chicago, IL public schools and earned her undergraduate degree in accounting at Florida A & M University. She had a successful career as a certified public accountant including six years with Delta Air Lines. Her last position was as the Chief Financial Officer for the Jacksonville, FL Transportation Authority.

She is survived by her husband of 25 years, David R. Smith; mother Martha Buchanan; sister Teresa Pickney (Greg); brothers Marcellus Cruthird (Rochelle) and Maurice Buchanan (Jennifer); six brothers-in-law, three sisters-in-law and a host of nieces , nephews, family and friends.

The family will receive friends at the Mowell Funeral Home, Fayetteville from 6:00 to 8:00 PM on Monday, December 27, 2010. Funeral services are to be held in Miami, FL on Thursday, December 30, 2010 at 11:00 AM at the Second Baptist Church, 11111 Pinkston Drive, Miami, FL 33176. Interment will be in the Woodlawn Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, please make memorial donations in Margo’s honor to Susan B.
