Seth Johnson, 17, of Peachtree City, advanced to the rank of Eagle Scout in a court of honor ceremony Jan. 18 at Christ Our Shepherd Lutheran. The award was presented by Phil Carson, Scoutmaster of Boy Scout Troop 181, sponsored by the Kiwanis Club of Peachtree City.

Seth began his Scouting adventures as a Bear Scout with Pack 409 at Braelinn Elementary. He moved through the ranks of Webelos I and II, where he earned the God and Family Award and the Arrow of Light.

On his way to Eagle Scout in Troop 181, Seth earned 28 merit badges, provided many hours of community service and completed high adventure treks at Philmont Scout Ranch in New Mexico and Sea Base in the Florida Keys.

For his Eagle project, Seth led a crew of 15 volunteers in building a handicap walkway at Braelinn Elementary School to provide the Special Needs students easy access to the playground area.

Seth will graduate Starr’s Mill High School in 2012. Scott and Michelle Johnson are his proud parents.
