0Today marked the birthday of Theodore Geisel known as Dr. Seuss to young readers. In celebration of his birthday Fayetteville Intermediate School participated in Read Across America Day with volunteer guest readers coming to the school to read to classes. FIS began the day with a visit by a couple of Seuss’s characters, “Thing One” (Melanie Mikoy) and “Thing Two” (Bailey Towle). They are shown with Judy Pearson, media specialist, on the school’s morning broadcast as a tribute to Dr. Seuss.
Ethan Allen has hired additional security for the visit. (and additional cleaning crews).
