Members of Word of God Lutheran Church will celebrate the church’s first anniversary on Sunday, Aug. 14. The congregation was the first Lutheran church in the Atlanta area to be affiliated with the North American Lutheran Church (NALC). It also is affiliated with Lutheran Congregations in Mission for Christ (LCMC). Word of God Lutheran Church is traditionally grounded in biblical teachings, consistent with scripture and the tradition of worship under Word and Sacrament. The congregation worships at 303 Kelly Drive, Suite 10, in Peachtree City, with a 9:30 a.m. worship service and Sunday school for all ages at 11 a.m. This Sunday, members will worship, dedicate gifts and memorials for the church, and share in a potluck luncheon.
