The new season of Upward Flag Football and Cheerleading begins the week of Aug. 22 at McDonough Road Baptist Church in Fayetteville. Registration deadline is Aug. 13.

Each participant must attend one flag football evaluation or cheerleading orientation at the church. Evaluations for Kindergarten through eighth grade is either Monday, Aug. 8 or Tuesday, Aug. 9, between 6 p.m. and 7:30 p.m., or Saturday, Aug. 13, between 9 a.m. and noon. Games begin Saturday, Sept, 10.

“Upward Sports provides a great way to learn new skills while meeting new friends in a positive sports environment,” said Upward coordinator Mark Karki. “Each athlete will learn fundamentals while having fun and will also learn lessons for life.”
