Fayetteville Police responding to a Nov. 5 burglary at the Weatherly Walk Apartments off Ga. Highway 54 East located some of the stolen items in the storage room of a vacant apartment in the same building.

Fayetteville Police spokesman Steve Crawshaw said officers responded after a resident arrived home shortly after 9 p.m. finding that the front door had been forced open.

The resident determined the stolen items to include an Xbox, a laptop computer, a handgun and a small amount of cash, Crawshaw said.

Officers canvassing the area discovered the Xbox and laptop in the storage room of a vacant apartment in the building where the theft occurred.
