Fayetteville Police are looking for a thief that pushed a Pizza Hut employee to the ground Saturday morning in the parking lot of the Bank of America at Banks Station, then snatched his bank deposit.

Fayetteville Police spokesman Steve Crawshaw said the incident occurred just after 9 a.m. on Nov. 26 when a Pizza Hut employee was about to take a deposit into the Bank of America branch on Ga. Highway 85 at Banks Station. The employee told officers that a man came up from behind, pushed him to the ground and grabbed the deposit bag, Crawshaw said.

Crawshaw said the employee got a look at the man, describing him as Hispanic, approximately 5-feet-7-inches in height and weighing 160-170 pounds. The man was said to have been wearing a brown ski-style hat, a blue hoodie and baggy brown canvas pants, said Crawshaw.

The man fled on foot to the east in the direction adjacent Banks Station retail center.

Anyone with information pertaining to this incident is asked to contact Fayetteville Police at 770-461-4441.
