G. Wayne DuBose passed away Dec. 6, 2011 after a strong battle with cancer.

He was born Dec. 16, 1944 in New Brockton, Ala. After service with the USMC, he pursued a career in aviation maintenance. In 1974, he moved to Fayetteville, Ga., and began work with Delta Airlines, retiring in 2005 as an Aircraft Inspection foreman. Much of his retirement was spent enjoying vegetable gardening, long daily bicycle rides, poker and occasional trips ‘back home’ or to North Georgia.

He leaves behind, his wife, Becky Bartels; daughter, Margo DuBose and husband Rick Grzembski of Fayetteville; son, John and Crystal DuBose of Griffin; grandchildren – Gabriel and Sophia Grzembski and Victoria DuBose; sister Carolyn Clark of Phenix City, Ala. along with beloved neighbors, extended family, former classmates and work friends.
Memorial services will be held at later date.
