Heritage Christian Church in Fayetteville invites families in the community to Summer Nights, on Wednesdays, July 10, 17, 24, and 31. Doors open at 6:45 p.m. and the indoor drama begins at 7 p.m.

Each evening, families are encouraged to bring their picnic blanket and sit together for the indoor show, which will include hilarious skits, high energy music, a family game show, and interactive Bible stories.

After the indoor entertainment at 7:45 p.m., families will head outdoors for family-friendly activities, snacks, and games.

According to Adam Day, Heritage’s family pastor, the church decided to host summer nights this year instead of Vacation Bible School, to allow families an opportunity to be involved and connected with one another.

“We wanted to offer a different type of family event where parents can engage with their children rather than just dropping them off at Vacation Bible School,” said Day.

Heritage Christian children’s ministry team coordinator Lori Barentine says, summer nights “isn’t VBS. . .it’s way better!”

Heritage Christian is in south Fayetteville, at the corner of Redwine Road and Peachtree Parkway. For more information, visit www.heritagechristian.org or the church’s Facebook page.
