A summer kids’ event called Weird Animals VBS will be hosted at The Connection Church, 398 Corinth Rd., Jonesboro, from June 9 – 13 from 6:30 to 9 p.m. “Weird Animals: Where Jesus’ Love Is One-of-a-Kind” is for kids from kindergarten to fifth grade (last grade completed). Kids will participate in Bible-learning activities, sing songs, play teamwork-building games, make and dig into yummy treats, experience Bible adventures, collect Bible Memory Buddies, and test out Sciency-Fun Gizmos they’ll take home and play with all summer long. Each day concludes with The Tail End (parents are invited to come) — a celebration that gets everyone involved in living what they’ve learned.

Family members and friends are encouraged to join in on Friday, June 13. Food will be served from 6:30 to 7:15 p.m. The children will present their program beginning at 7:30 p.m.
