0Shirley Joyce Cline Pontius, 79, died July 4, 2014.
She was born May 27, 1935 in Akron, Ohio. She was a graduate of Garfield High School, Firestone Park. She was a homemaker.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Harold Lesley Cline and Irene Kimes Cline, who died in 1983, and her husband of 54 years, Paul E. Pontius, who died June 30, 2014.
Her survivors include a daughter, Leslie and Mark Patterson, grandchildren, Jared Patterson and Kyle Patterson, all of Akron, and a sister, Carolyn Cline Cary, Fayetteville, Ga., nieces and nephews.
Burial was at Greenlawn Cemetery, Akron.
Hummel Funeral Home, Akron, was in charge.
