A July 27 armed robbery and assault of two people at their Peachtree City residence is thought to be linked to their place of business at a restaurant in Union City. Police are asking for the community’s help in locating the suspect.

Police spokesman Mark Brown said officers in the early morning hours of July 27 responded to a residence on Abrell Woods Court in reference to a reported armed robbery.

“Two victims at the scene advised that they were approached by an unknown male after exiting their vehicle in the driveway of their residence. The suspect struck the two victims on the head with a handgun and demanded their ‘bag’ and their money,” said Brown.

Brown said the suspect was described as being a black male, approximately 6’1” in height with a medium build, short hair and wearing all black. The suspect was last seen driving a large dark sedan, Brown said.

“The victims had just left their place of business, the China Garden restaurant in Union City, and one of them was carrying a bag similar to a bank deposit bag upon exiting their vehicle,” said Brown. ”The victims turned over the cash to the assailant.”

Brown said the victims advised that a vehicle suspected of following the victims from their business in Union City was waiting at the end of the driveway and was described as a large dark sedan.
Following the robbery the assailant entered the vehicle which was driven from the scene by another individual.

Anyone with information pertaining to this incident is asked to contact the Peachtree City Police Dept. at 770-487-8866.
