Two Stockbridge women, chased by deputies Nov. 13, jumped from their moving vehicle just before it crashed into a home in Clayton County. Handcuffs awaited them after a short chase on foot.

Rosie Nelson, 18, was charged with no license plate, fleeing or attempting to elude and failure to have license on person, said Sheriff Barry Babb.

Princess Holmes, 18, was arrested on an outstanding warrant from Henry County for misdemeanor failure to appear, Babb said.

Babb said the incident occurred after a deputy initiated a traffic stop in the area of Highland Drive near Old Ga. Highway 138 on a vehicle with no tag displayed.

Babb said the driver did not pull over and entered Clayton County on Creekside Drive. He said the driver and passenger jumped out of the vehicle while it was still in motion. The vehicle came to a stop when it crashed into a house on Creekside Drive, Babb said.

Both Nelson and Holmes were apprehended and taken into custody after a brief foot chase, said Babb.

Babb said there were no injuries in the incident.
