Learn about “vermicomposting,” or all about the use of worms in composting to create rich plant food, from the University of Georgia Extension in Fayette County.

Vermicomposting, or vermiculture, can turn rinds, peels, and lawn clippings into plant food and is well known to many gardeners, but buying worms is not like purchasing toothpaste or groceries.

But the “worm class” scheduled for April 4 at 10 a.m. next to the Extension office will provide participants with the little wigglers needed to create a small vermicomposting tub to take it home and use.
