Several individual player honors were announced this weekend for the McIntosh Chiefs boys basketball team on the heels of their 29-1 season and Region 4-AAAAA championship.

Jordan Lyons was named the state’s AAAAA Player of the Year by HoopSeen.com, which tweeted the announcement Saturday. He was joined on the All-State first team by players from Apalachee, Brunswick, Miller Grove and Gainesville.

The news was shared Sunday on the McIntosh Basketball official Twitter feed: “Congrats @J_Lyons_23 on being named 5A Player of the Year!”

Will Washington was named to the second team along with players from Allatoona, Miller Grove, ML King and Sequoyah.

Dishon Lowery will participate in the Georgia Athletic Coaches Association’s All-Star Basketball Showcase in Savannah March 21, playing in the All-Star Junior Game.

“Proud to say I have been selected to play in the GACA All-Star Junior Game. #blessed,” Lowery stated March 5 via Twitter.
