The Grammy award winning singer/songwriter Boz Scaggs will kick off the annual Fred Summer Concert Series on May 2 in Peachtree City.

With soulful songs that float between genres of rock, R&B and jazz, Scaggs has earned acclaim from music industry insiders since his first release in 1965.

Scaggs will be the opening show in the summer series presented by Lexus of South Atlanta. Other concerts include Night Ranger, Al Jarreau, Michael McDonald, KC and the Sunshine Band and Peter Frampton/Cheap Trick. For a complete listing of the season schedule, go to www.amphitheater.org.    

The concert begins at 8 p.m. with Nashville alternative country music artist Rayland Baxter performing until 8:30.  Scaggs will take the stage at 9 p.m. Gates will open at 7 p.m.
