Rising Starr Middle School eighth-grader Harrison Fultz won the 1600-meter and 3200-meter races at last weekend’s Georgia Middle School Track and Field State Championships at Parkview High.

His time of 10:18 in the 3200-meter run is listed as the third-fastest in state meet history. His 1600-meter time of 4:43.8 was fractions of a second from the state record.

He plans to continue his running career next year as a member of the Starr’s Mill High School team.
