Former Whitewater softball standout Peyton Roth made a clean sweep of all possible awards during a stellar 2015 season playing second base at Armstrong State University in Savannah.

The highlight of Roth’s awards was earning her first career NFCA All-American honor for leading the Peach Belt Conference in both batting average (.446) and hits (75) with nine doubles and 19 RBI, and ranked third in the league in on-base percentage at .505.

She reached base safely in her first 30 games in 2015 and went 5-for-5 against Shorter University, making her just the second Armstrong player to have a five-hit game in program history.

Roth’s work efforts were apparent not only on the diamond but also in the classroom.  She carries a 3.84 GPA in health science, which earned her the 2015 Capital One/CoSIDA Division II Softball Academic All-American honors as well. She is just the third Armstrong State softball player to earn this award and is the first Armstrong softball player to earn both the All-American and Academic All-American honors in the same season.

Roth also received NFCA All-Southeast Region Softball Honors, Daktronics/DII CCA All-Region Softball Honors, Capital One/CoSIDA Academic All-District III Honors, All-Peach Belt Conference Honors, and the PBC Softball All-Academic Team Honors (second straight year).
