The Fayette Starr’s Mill Chapter of the National Society, Daughters of the American Revolution and the Peachtree City Library invite the public spend some time getting to know Meadow Garden, the historic farm home of George Walton. The program is scheduled for Sunday, Aug. 9, 2-4 p.m. in the Floy Farr Room of the library.

A DVD will be shown which includes history of the home in Augusta and will show how he and his family lived back in 1792.  Meadow Garden is currently owned and maintained by the Georgia State Society Daughters of the American Revolution.

George Walton was the youngest signer of the Declaration of Independence at the age of 26. He was an accomplished attorney, twice governor of Georgia and a member of the Continental Congress from 1776 until 1777.
