Several local golfers took home first-place trophies in their respective divisions Sept. 19-20 in the Hurricane Junior Golf Tour’s event at Canongate on White Oak in Newnan.

Winners in all five-age divisions receive an automatic bid to the Tour Championship in December.

Joshua Grenville-Wood of Peachtree City claimed the title in the boys 15-18 division with a two-day score of 140 that included nine birdies and an eagle.

In the boys 11-12 division Houston Lawson of Peachtree City shot 83 Saturday and 74 Sunday for the win, his first-ever round in the 70s, with Renato Gerena Jr. of Peachtree City coming in second.

Liza Eubanks of Peachtree City won the girls 11-14 division, coming back after an 87 in the first round to shoot 77 with two birdies on the final day.
