The top eight teams in each classification in the GHSA state softball tournament converge on Columbus this weekend to battle for supremacy.
In AAAAAA, East Coweta squares off against Archer Thursday at 6 p.m. in its first quarterfinal game. Other teams in the bracket are Kennesaw Mountain, Mill Creek, Brookwood, South Forsyth, North Gwinnett and Harrison.
The double-elimination tournament ends Oct. 31.
