Hometown Holiday is Dec. 5

Bundle up the family on the golf cart and head over to The Fred Dec. 5 for the annual Hometown Holiday event, a free community show that starts at 5 p.m. with gates opening at 4:30.

Entertainment will be a mix of community talent including performances by the Peachtree Wind Ensemble, Fayette Fiddlers, Dance Contempra Studios, Lisa Kelly and Starr’s Mill singers.  The show will be emceed by Stephen Walker.    

Holiday-themed crafts will be made available by Saville Studios. There will also be plenty of homemade goodies for sale, and even the opportunity to roast marshmallows and make s’mores.             

The program wraps up with a crowd sing-along, and then Santa leads the way along the Trail of Lights as the whole procession continues to City Hall. At 7 p.m. there will be a ceremonial Lighting of the Tree, and visits with Santa.
