The members of Den 9 of Cub Scout Pack 75 in Peachtree City are working on their “Build My Own Hero” adventure as they complete their Webelos I rank.
The fourth-grade Scouts identified heroes in their community and several of those people were able to come to a den meeting and participate in a “Hero Panel” where they talked about their job and accomplishments, shared who they consider to be a hero, and gave advice to the Scouts on being brave when faced with a challenge.
These heroes, seated from left, are Sgt. Rossana Uruguita of the U.S. Army; Kedron Principal Dr. Julie Turner; Peachtree City Police Officer Paul Smilley; and Eagle Scout Max Hardin from Peachtree City Troop 211.
