The McIntosh Chiefs reached the Final Four in the GHSA state basketball tournament for the first time in the school’s history, closing out the 2015-2016 season with a 72-52 loss to Miller Grove in the AAAAA semifinal Saturday night at Columbus State University.

 

The Chiefs compiled a 29-3 overall record on the season, going unbeaten in 21 games in Region 4-AAAAA including the region tournament. This year’s senior class has recorded 94 victories in four years including the past two region championships.

 

Friday night the Chiefs overcame a 15-point halftime deficit to post a 65-59 win over Riverwood in the state quarterfinal.
