The  Aldi grocery chain has announced the opening of two new locations, 2709 Highway 54 West in Peachtree City and 1064 Highway 34 East in Newnan, as of April 14.

The company has nearly 1,500 stores in 32 states, according to a recent statement.

To celebrate the openings of the new Peachtree City and Newnan stores,  Aldi will host ribbon-cutting ceremonies at 8:45 a.m. at each store location. The public is invited to attend.

Following the ceremonies, the first 100 shoppers will receive a golden ticket, each containing  Aldi gift certificates of various amounts. Customers can also tour the stores, sample  Aldi exclusive brand products and enter on-site sweepstakes for a chance to win a year’s supply of  Aldi produce.  Aldi currently carries a wide variety of fruits and vegetables, including several organic produce items.

“We are pleased to bring stores to Peachtree City and Newnan to help customers get high-quality products at everyday low prices,” said Thom Behtz, Jefferson division vice president for  Aldi. “We challenge shoppers to switch from national brands to our high-quality exclusive brands and stretch their dollars without compromising quality. As important as price is, the only way to attract and keep shoppers is to have quality products.”

The newest locations will be open from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday through Saturday and from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Sunday.

Over the next several years,  Aldi plans to add an average of 130 new stores each year.
