The Atlanta Youth Wind Symphony, the premier honor wind ensemble for high school youth in the Atlanta metropolitan area, will perform its final concert of the season Tuesday, May 17, at 8 p.m. at Atlanta Symphony Hall at the Woodruff Arts Center.

Under the direction of conductor and music director Scott Stewart, the AYWS will perform a program featuring D’Addona’s Grand Fanfare, Nelson’s Savannah River Holiday, and Hanson’s Chorale and Alleluia, as well as three works by visiting composer Michael Daugherty: Winter Dreams, Vulcan, and Red Cape Tango.

Members of the Atlanta Youth Wind Symphony are from high schools across the metro Atlanta area, and include three students from McIntosh High School: Rachel Anders (flute), Pearce Kramer (clarinet), and Alisha Zamore (clarinet).

This concert is free and open to the public and no tickets are required. For more information, visit ayws.org.
