Nearly 100 visitors attended an interfaith dinner at Fayetteville’s Islamic Community Center (ICCA) on Saturday, June 18. Fayetteville Mayor Edward Johnson, Fayette County Sheriff Barry Babb, Fayette County Commissioner David Barlow and other leaders joined a diverse group of visitors, including members of local Catholic, protestant and Mormon churches, for the annual Ramadan Interfaith Dinner. Activities included an educational presentation about the Islamic faith, a public question and answer session and a dinner of international cuisine. Fayetteville’s Islamic Community Center also hosts interfaith open houses on the first Tuesday of every month at 7 p.m. Those interested in attending may RSVP by emailing [email protected].
