A Company of Friends Theatrical Productions invite young and old to join them for auditions of the Georgia premiere of “Madagascar, A Musical Adventure.”

All ages from 6 years through mature adults are needed to bring this colorful and humorous new musical to the stage. A cast of more than 25 is needed to stage this popular story.

Auditions will be Sunday, July 24, at the Fayetteville First United Methodist Church with ages 6-12 at 4 p.m. and ages 13-adults at 6 p.m.

An additional audition night is also available Monday, July 25, at the Fayetteville Train Depot with ages 6-12 at 5:30 p.m. and ages 13-adults at 7 p.m.

Auditions will consist of a taught song and dance combination from the show and cold readings from the script.

All your favorite crack-a-lackin’ friends are in the show including Alex, the Lion, Marty, the Zebra, Melman, the Giraffe, Gloria, the Hip-Hip-Hippo, all the crazy Penguins, the Movin’ It King Julian and a large ensemble who will play Citizens of New York, Foosa, Lemurs, Additional Penguins and Zoo Keepers.

Shows are scheduled for Sept. 9-12 and rehearsals will be in the evenings from 6 to 8:30 p.m. Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and a few Saturdays. ACOF does charge an $85 production/costume fee for all who are cast in the show. This fee may be paid by the actor or covered by getting advertisements for the program.

A fun and informative audition workshop will be offered Saturday, July 23, for all ages at Fayetteville First United Methodist Church for those that want to get a jump-start on learning the audition dance, song and cold read from the script. Workshop is from 5 to 8 p.m. and the fee is $40. You do not have to attend the workshop to audition.

For more information regarding auditions or to register for the audition workshop, phone 770-599-0051 or visit www.acofproductions.com.
