The Holliday Dorsey Fife Museum is hosting its ninth annual Cemetery Spirit Walk Friday and Saturday, Oct. 21-22, 6:30-8:30 p.m.

Spirit guides will lead guests through the cemetery to meet various citizens of Fayette County.

Tickets can be purchased at the Museum October 11-22 during operating hours and also at the event. All ticket holders will be given a half-hour time slot and will be taken in groups of 10 to 15 people.

Tickets are $5 for adults and $3 for children 5-12 years old. There is no charge for children under 5. The proceeds will go toward new display cases.

For both nights visitors can enjoy the hauntingly historic southern music performed by local members of the SCV.  Free refreshments of hot cocoa and treats will be provided Friday night by Rolling Baptist Church and Saturday night by Southern Harm Derby Dames.

Also, for the month of October, the museum is featuring a special exhibit of Victorian Mourning Rites. Mourning jewelry, gowns and letters from the 1800s will be on display.

The Holliday Dorsey Fife Museum is located off the Fayetteville square at 140 West Lanier Avenue. Its normal operating hours are 10 a.m.-3 p.m. Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday with extended Friday hours from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
