Ronald “Ron” Franklin Jones, of Newnan, Ga. passed away October 5, 2016.

He was born on December 2, 1949 in Atlanta, Ga. to the late George and Mary Jones. He was a 1967 graduate of Sylvan Hills High School and he served in the U. S. Army during Vietnam. He was employed at Delta Airlines for 48 years. Ron was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and brother who will be missed very much.

He is survived by his wife, B. J. Jones; son, Ronald (Karin) Jones, Fayetteville, Ga.; daughter, Lauren (Andy) Toering, Tyrone, Ga.; step-sons, Scott Larson, Boise, Idaho; Brian Larson, Rochester, N.Y.; John Larson, Boise, Idaho; grandchildren, Harry Larson, Lily Toering, Addie Larson, Miles Toering, Henry Jones, and Hunter Toering; and his sister, Kathy Smisson, Warner Robins, Ga.

A Celebration of Life service will be held at 1 p.m. on Monday, October 10, 2016 in the chapel of Carmichael-Hemperley Funeral Home in Peachtree City, Ga. with Mr. Warner Smith officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. on Monday.

Interment services are to be held privately by the family with Military Honors.
