The Peachtree City Planning Commission has undergone a change with the expiring terms of two members and the selection of two new members. New members were welcomed at the Oct. 10 meeting.

The terms of both Lynda Wojcik and David Conner were expired, City Clerk Betsy Tyler said last week.

Wojcik served on the commission since 2009 and did not re-apply for the seat.

Conner served since 2010. He re-applied for the seat but was not selected.

Tyler said 13 people applied for the commission vacancies. Of those, five were interviewed, she said.

J.T. Rabun, who had served as a alternate, is now seated on the dais along with Aaron Daily, Frank Destadio and Jack Bernard.

Rabun has resided in Peachtree City for 15 years and served as a alternate for the past year.

An assistant state material engineer with the Georgia Department of Transportation, Rabun’s experience includes civil and transportation engineering.

New to the board are Lisa Ann Curtis and alternate Stacy Holcomb.

Curtis has lived on Peachtree City for nearly nine years. She has a B.S. in mechanical engineering and has both industrial construction management experience and project management experience.

Curtis currently serves as operations manager with Goforth Williamson, Inc. in Griffin.

Holcomb has lived in Peachtree City for nearly two years. A former architect/general engineer with the U.S. Army, Holcomb currently serves as an architect/master planner with CH2M.

City Manger Jon Rorie said Curtis and Rabun will serve until Sept. 30, 2019. Holcomb will serve as a alternate in the event a vacancy occurs.

Commissioners on Monday elected Frank Destadio as Chairman and Aaron Daily as Vice Chairman.
