Roger Neil Matson, age 83, of Sharpsburg, Ga., departed this life on December 20, 2016. Roger was born on November 26, 1933 in Fostoria, Ohio to Milo and Margaret Matson.

Roger was a retired tool and die maker and designer. He was an avid sportsman and especially enjoyed hunting, fishing and golf.

He Is survived by his wife of 63 years, Patricia; four sons, Terry (Reen) Matson, Garry Matson, Dean (Vicky) Matson, and Chris (Wlad) Matson; seven grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren.

The family will be having a memorial service on Saturday, January 7, 2017, 2 p.m. at Cathedral Of Christ The King, 4881 GA Hwy 34, Sharpsburg, Ga. 30277.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in memory of Roger Matson to the American Cancer Society, 2607 Commons Blvd., Augusta, Ga. 30909.
