The agenda for the Feb. 16 meeting of the Peachtree City Council comes with only two items. One of the items deals with removing trees and vegetation from city greenbelt areas.

Previously a discussion topic, the council will hear from Planning and Development Director Mike Warrix regarding regulations dealing with a monetary penalty for removing trees and vegetation from city-owned greenbelt areas.

The council will consider approval of a measure that would lead to appearing in municipal court and a fine of not less than $500 per tree removed.

If approved, the individual would also be responsible for replacing the total caliper-inches of vegetation removed.

Also at the meeting, the council and financial staff will discuss budgetary policies.
