Fayetteville residents wanting to hear about keeping their homes and families safe and receive an update on the city’s plans for the future can get the details from Fayetteville officials on March 18 at the Fayetteville Library.

Mayor Ed Johnson, City Manager Ray Gibson and Police Chief Scott Gray will be addressing local neighborhoods on the topic of Keeping Our Communities Safe.

The meeting, hosted by Realtor Heidi Becker, will be held March 18 at the Fayette County Library beginning at 9 a.m.

Areas of discussion will include how to start a Neighborhood Watch program, how to keep your home and family safe and an update on what the city is doing to keep Fayetteville a safe place to live, work and play.

“There are 31 Fayette County and area neighborhoods connected through the Nextdoor.com social network page. Nextdoor.com’s mission is to provide a trusted platform where neighbors work together,” said Becker. “With over 1,700 individuals on our local site, we can watch out for each other and stay informed.”
