Ms. Martha Sue Smith of Fayetteville passed away on October 6, 2017.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Edward and Ruby Clontz Crosby and daughter, Kimberley Smith Lowe. She is survived by her son, Mark Addison Smith and his husband Erik Gernand of New York, N.Y.; son-in-law, Clinton Lowe of Cumming, Ga.; grandson, Harrison Lowe of Cumming, Ga.; sister, Joan Ensley and her husband James of Adel, Ga.; and brother, Tommy Crosby and his wife Dianne of Adel, Ga.

Ms. Smith, referred to many as Sweet Sue, was a loving mother, grandmother, and friend who brought words of kindness and encouragement to everyone she met. In addition to her work at Adel Banking Company, Fulton County Board of Education, and Atlantic Southeast Airlines, she worked later in life as a caregiver for senior adults around Fayette County.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, October 14, 2017 at 4 p.m. in the Chapel of Parrott Funeral Home with Dr. Jimmy Orr officiating. Those wishing may sign the online guestbook at www.parrottfuneral.com. The family will receive friends Saturday from 2 p.m. until service time at Parrott Funeral Home and Crematory, 770-964-4800.
