Robert “Gene” Lamb, 84, of Jonesboro, passed away on March 29, 2018.

He was born on April 22, 1933 in Atlanta, Ga. to the late Ossie Broome and Joseph Claude Lamb.  He proudly served his country during the Korean War in the United States Army.  Gene was an architect with the U.S. Government for many years.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and survived by his sons, Tom Lamb and Bob Lamb; his daughters, Cathy Bales and Betsy Perren; nine grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

There will be a graveside service at 3 p.m. on April 5, 2018 at Georgia National Cemetery in Canton, Ga.  In lieu of flowers, the family lovingly requests donations in Gene’s memory to Egleston Children’s Hospital, Atlanta, Ga., https://www.choa.org/locations/egleston-hospital.
