The period of Aug. 31 through Sept. 6 came with a burglary and several entering auto incidents across Fayette County.

Sheriff Barry Babb said deputies on Sept. 4 were alerted by a security company about a burglary at a salvage business on Roberts Road near Ga. Highway 85 North where a man was stealing tires and wheels.

Deputies and Fayetteville officers located 53-year-old Riverdale resident Neil Kingston and charged him with burglary and possession of tools for the commission of a crime, Babb said.

Six entering auto incidents occurred Sept. 2 at two residences on Rocky Fork Boulevard off McDonough Road. One of the vehicles had a passenger window broken while the remaining vehicles were unlocked, Babb said. Items stolen included a wallet, computer tablet and a watch.

A Sept. 2 entering auto occurred at a residence on Greenview Circle off Milam Road. The unlocked vehicle had a wallet and change stolen.

Picnic Park on Willowbend Road in Peachtree City was the site of two Sept. 3 entering auto incidents. Both incidents were reported just before 5 p.m., according to Peachtree City police reports.

The passenger side window in one vehicle was broken while the drivers side window in the other vehicle was smashed. One of the vehicles had a purse and iPhone stolen while the other vehicle was left with no items taken, reports said.

Also in Peachtree City, a golf cart was stolen on Aug. 31 from the Kroger parking lot at the Kedron Village commercial area, according to police reports.
