Doris Reagin Chaille, of Georgetown, Texas, passed away on November 1, 2018 in Austin, Texas. She was born November 28, 1930 in Hazelhurst, Georgia to Theron and Jenny (Dee Dee) Reagin.

Doris worked at the Macon Paper Company where she met James (Jim) Chaille, Jr., the son of the owner, James Chaille, Sr. She married Jim on December 16, 1951 in Macon, Georgia.

Jim worked as an engineer for Rohm & Haas Co. which took them to Huntsville, Ala., Fayetteville, N.C., Teeside, England, Philadelphia, Pa., and Houston, Texas before Jim’s retirement. After retiring, they moved to Peachtree City, Ga., so she could be back among the tall pines. They finally settled in Georgetown, Texas to be close to family.

Doris loved to play golf and bridge, and watch tennis. What Doris enjoyed most was cooking true Southern meals. She was a gracious hostess.

Doris was preceded in death by her husband Jim; her sisters, Janet, Marthalyn, and Bettie; and her parents. She is survived by her daughter, Kathy (Rick) Cohen; and son, John (Lydia) Chaille, all of Austin Texas; and three grandchildren, Rebecca, Ian, and Austin.

Funeral services and interment were held Friday, November 9, 2018, at Cook-Walden /Capital Parks Funeral Home, in Pflugerville, Texas.

In lieu of flowers and customary remembrances, the family suggests donations be made to Hospice Austin.
