A  voter education forum will be held Thursday, Sept. 5, at Sam’s Auditorium from 5 to 8:30 p.m.
The event, sponsored by The Fayette County Branch of the NAACP and the Fayette County Chamber of Commerce, will focus on voter rights and voter machine integrity, absentee ballots, provisional ballots, and new voting machines.
A panel of experts leading the discussion includes Chris Harvey, Georgia Secretary of State Elections Director; Addison Lester, Fayette County Chairman, Board of Elections and Voter Registration; Floyd Jones, Director of Elections and Voter Registration (tentative); and Milton Kidd, Elections Director, Douglas County.
The event is open to the community. A question and answer discussion will take place at the end of the forum.
