The annual Tyrone Tree Lighting Celebration is set for Dec. 1, followed by “Cookies with the Clauses on Dec. 7.

The Town Tree Lighting Celebration on Dec. 1 begins at 6 p.m. in Shamrock Park on Senoia Road.

The evening’s events kick-off with the Sandy Creek High School Color Guard and band, followed by a presentation by Clearwater Academy and Christmas carols.

Santa will arrive and 7 p.m. and, after a visit with the kids, the town will host the Christmas Laser Show. The evening’s activities will conclude at 8:30 with the lighting of the tree.

The second event, “Cookies With The Clauses” will be held on Saturday, Dec. 7. The event begins at 9 a.m. in the Tyrone Recreation Center and ends at noon.  There is no registration required and no cost. Children will get to decorate (and eat) cookies, visit with Santa and Mrs. Claus and have their pictures taken.
