The Fayette County Public School System will join others across the nation during the month of February to celebrate national Career, Technical Education, and Agricultural  (CTAE) Month.

This year’s tagline is Celebrate Today, Own Tomorrow! CTAE Month provides CTAE programs across the country an opportunity to demonstrate how CTAE makes students college and career ready, and prepares them for high-wage, high-demand career fields.

The school system’s CTAE program offers hundreds of students a choice of multiple career pathways and the opportunity to explore their career interests while obtaining the knowledge and skills that businesses and industries desire to employ.

“CTAE courses get students on the fast track to their future and our teachers are dedicated, highly qualified, and devoted to the task of preparing students beyond the classroom,” said Lisa Collins, director of the school system’s CTAE program. “The program is helping our young people develop skills that will serve them well as they look toward their future in whatever career path they choose.”

Fayette’s CTAE students have a graduation rate of 97.28%, which is 15.28% higher than the state graduation rate for all students.

The school system encourages its students, parents, staff and Fayette County community to take time to recognize the dedicated CTAE teachers at your child’s school or the CTAE teacher in their school attendance area for going above and beyond to help students find their passion, and to have success in their post-secondary endeavors.
