A budding early childhood educator has proven she has what it takes to become a phenomenal teacher in the near future.

Olivia Herrmann, who is enrolled in the Early Childhood Education pathway at Starr’s Mill High, and is a student teacher at the school’s early childhood center, has placed first in the state on the Georgia FCCLA (Future Career and Community Leaders of America) online proficiency test. A total of 100 students across the state took the test, which evaluates students’ mastery of the Early Childhood Education pathway curriculum.

Herrmann received a medal in honor of her accomplishment.
