The Chiefs are giving back. The McIntosh Athletic Advisory Committee (MAAC) has been busy buying and wrapping gifts to make the holidays brighter for families in need.

The student-athletes of the MAAC raised funds from teammates, coaches, teachers, family, and the community for the gifts, then they packaged up the presents themselves.

“I have watched them grow as leaders throughout this process. Though it was an idea that I brought to them, they have taken full ownership. They have taken the lead on securing funding, reaching out to the local schools to find families to sponsor, and shopping for gifts,” said McIntosh athletic director Leon Hammond. “I want our students to have the opportunity to be servants to others. In addition, I want them to appreciate how blessed we all are, and that there are individuals out there that are less fortunate, who simply need a little assistance.”
