A new friend helped spark a love of reading at Sara Harp Minter Elementary. During Read Across America Week, Brayden Foster, an 8th grader at Whitewater Middle, joined others in reading to classes at Minter.

Foster visited with Dane Mixon and Eileen Corley’s 3rd grade classes.

“Brayden is an all-around great student and one of the most polite young men in the entire 8th grade,” said Whitewater Middle media specialist Dr. Becky Warren, who also read to students. “I think it’s important for our younger students to see their older peers setting good examples and modeling life-long skills, especially reading.”
