The Wildcats boast a pair of sharpshooters. On March 10, Whitewater High’s duo of senior Leah Smith and junior Darrian Drake finished 2nd place at the state finals of the GHSA Coed 3-Point Shooting Contest, held during the 2022 state basketball championships at the Macon Centreplex.

Flowery Branch’s team of Bella Brick and Landon Mealor won the championship, but the Wildcats made sure to make their mark. It was also a return to the competition for Smith who was a state finalist in the Girls 3-Point Contest last season.
