Robert J. Burch Elementary invited the community to enjoy an evening celebrating the fine arts talents within the halls of the school, adding an international twist to the festivities. “Night Around the World” showcased the artwork of every student, and it was an experience for the all the senses, including musical performances by Burch Bears and Sandy Creek High students.

It was an interactive learning activity for the Bears, as each student received a “passport” upon arrival, and they earned stamps as they traveled the halls into different “continents,” with each classroom featuring art from different countries on that continent. Once their passports were filled with stamps, students received flight wings and other fun goodies.

Art teacher Elise Wheatley and music teacher Michelle Thomas teamed up to make the vision come to life as they shared their passion for fine arts with students and the community. Many other Burch staff and volunteers chipped in to make the evening a wonderful success.
