They weren’t quite castles for the young Kedron Knights, but students in Kristen Martin’s 3rd-grade class made their own safe spots to read on Fort Day.

With the school year winding down, it was a way to inject a little fun into learning. To keep students on-task and engaged, the class had different theme days as the calendar wound down, and one of them was Fort Day. With a flashlight and a cozy spot under their desks, the young Knights couldn’t wait to dive into a good book.
